Please confirm the quality of this Lp cover (flimsy or decent quality?) My impression is it may be a great pressing housed in a cheaply-made package (just a white inner sleeve, not even an insert?) Thanks..

According to most reviews this pressing is excellent, yet in 2020 it can still be found brand new for about $20 while the Superunknown pressing from this same year is ridiculously rare and strange...
Echoing what others have said here - this 2003 version sounds phenomenal. WOW.
Sounds so good it's almost unbelievable, specially considering the thing runs almost 30 minutes per side!
I just got this brand new today and it is the fcking sht.
This is THE version to own. This 320 pressing is dynamic and full. The 2016 pressing is horrible! Disregard any negative comments about this press.
As a few others have said, this pressing is really nice. It is pressed quiet, but crank it up and it will melt your face. Another great 320 press. Those complaining must be talking about the 2016 ... this is not a Remaster.
Ignore the negative reviews. Yes it is cut quiet because it's a long album but it opens up if you crank it up past your normal level. Great Pressing.
320 press needs to be played with volume up higher. First time I listened it was really disappointed. I listened to my OG US press CD and followed with this vinyl reissue and it finally clicked. This press with 320 in deadwax is great!
Is there any way to identify this release from the outside?
I think there was a 2016 release that most users have compalined here and not the real 2003 release. I don't know how to explain it, it's late, I'm tired and my broken english is failing as much as the supposed 2003 release that is being found easily since 2016. Goodnight.
Without doubt the worst pressing of any album I've ever heard. Flat, dull, thin, weedy, lifeless and extremely quiet. It sounds like a bad, digitally compressed bootleg CD. Awful. The album itself is a masterpiece. I first owned this on cassette back in 95. That cassette sounded amazingly expansive. I then had it on CD in the 00s. That CD sounded amazing. I've now 'upgraded' to this and it sounds amazingly crap. This pressing kills the album stone dead. Such a shame.
Great, great pressing. Warm and natural sound. An essential purchase
I can't believe all the positive reviews of this pressing. I've collected vinyl for 30+ years and own over 6,000 LPs, and I can honestly say this is the absolute worst pressing I have in my entire collection. I love this album so much, and this horrible, flat, quiet, lifeless-sounding pressing is an abomination.
Is it the actual 2003 reissue that you have, or it it the 2016 remaster? Because apparently, the remaster sounds terrible, and I've already seen one comment that refers to it on this page.
black coffe
Excellent pressing, sounds very natural compared to the 2016 remaster (which sounds clearer but has a definite bass boost and probably a treble boost to as the cymbals sound unnaturally pronounced on the remaster). You have to turn it up a little louder than other records but once you do this pressing really opens up.
Just to verify, the louder you play it, the better it sounds.... killing soundPure art
This sounds warm, tight, and heavy. Soundgarden's best work. Excellent
Great sound, original cover, just add an insert with the lyrics But the original does not either
Great pressing. I actually prefer this pressing to the recent 2016 remaster. Can't beat the original artwork.
This album is so phenomenal it beggars description. And this pressing is absolutely killer! The louder you play it the better it sounds. RIP Chris Cornell...
Just got a mint sealed copy of this and it has a Side 2 label on each side!
The sound on this one is so full and punchy its made me rediscover and reassume this album although I liked a lot of the tracks of it I always thought they lacked a little compared to their other albums but this sounds fantastic, the bass and drums in particular this is the way all vinyl represses should be reproduced.
Great pressing! High Quality!
can anyone comment on the sound quality, pressing quality ?thanks.
I believe this is the version I have. Purchased new from an Amazon seller a couple years ago. It feels just a tiny bit stale and lacking in the midrange, but I remember my original CD sounding the same way so that's probably just the production of the album. The pressing is a tad on the quieter side like what's been said already, but it plays very nice at louder volumes. Playing on a Technics SL-Q2 with a Shure m97xe, I just cranked the volume and stuck my head next to my left channel to listen for noise. I had it on side 2 which opens with "Searching with my Good Eye", and at first I thought my left channel was disconnected because there was no sound accept for the right channel, then quickly realized they start the song hard panned to the right. So if there was any surface noise I would have heard it. Gotta say I'm quite impressed with this pressing. I'd like to compare it to an original at some point.
