Jeff Buckley by Merri Cyr

In the twelve years since his tragic drowning in the Mississippi river, American musician Jeff Buckley has grown in status to that of a true international rock icon.

Brooklyn based photographer Merri Cyr managed to not only document the everyday journey of Buckley’s rise to fame over the five year period from their first meeting in 1992 until his 1997 passing but also to invoke an honest beauty through her imagery that in the wake of his death has become all the more poignant.
