The Raw Gallery is Melbourne’s first commercial Gallery to specialise in the retail of fine art quality photographs in the genres of music and contemporary ‘pop’ culture.

The photographers that The Raw Gallery collaborates with are those that have made a significant cultural contribution through their chosen art form. The gallery specialises in genres of contemporary culture photography such as music and fashion; where iconic images have been captured in collaboration between the subject and artist. With access to the archives of some of the world’s best photographers of the genre, The Raw Gallery deals in limited edition, fine art quality photographs that capture the essence of Henri Cartier-Bresson’s “decisive moment”.  Every image included in the gallery’s collection is sourced directly from these iconic international photographers who print, hand sign and number every photograph. Every photograph is produced to an exacting fine art standard.

Music and Photography have a symbiotic relationship and where a song can evoke an emotional response in us all, it’s difficult to imagine many musicians without the images that epitomize them. Capturing an iconic live moment, shooting a band backstage or producing Promotional shots to grace an Album cover, the Photographer capturing these images is an intrinsic part of building a Musician into an International rock icon.?Our clientele ranges from the die-hard fan of a specific artist looking for a unique collectable, to the investor looking to buy a piece of unique limited edition art.

The Raw Gallery uses only professional conservation-quality acid free mounts and backing material in our Framing. We know that your print will be an investment as well as a centerpiece in your home and we aim to protect it so as to maintain the Photograph’s quality condition for many years to come.?If you are looking for a specific finish, we are also more than happy to custom frame your piece to meet your requirements. Other options such as non-reflective or UV protective glass can also be added to the finished work.?Whether you have that one special limited edition photograph or are an avid collector, quality printing and framing make all the difference.
